WRX vs RX7

Hi all! I am about to get my frist car and i can't decided. I have narrowed it down to either a 3rd gen RX7 or a 2002 WRX. I like them both alot. If i get an rx7 i am goign to be getting one with very low mile(like 40k) or one with like 80 - 90k miles on body with a very new engine liek 15k or so miles. I have heard mixed thigns about the egine. If i get one wiht liek 40k miles will it last for a while without alot of problems? Also i am goign to be puuting money into the car. I haven't done much research on Rx7's i been focusing on the wrx. how much $$ it's gonna take to hit my target 1/4 time(low 12's) saftely. ALso will the stock tranny hold a good amout of power. and how is the clutch does it burn out quickly like the wrx? thx for all ur help

I think there was already a 2 page post on this comparison. Try searching.(god i sound like some of the "old timers"on here. Haha!! But a quick thought from me.........If you don't want to spend a load of money and time keeping the FD running at optimum levels. Get the WRX. There are alot of bolt on parts for them now since they've been out for a while. If you are getting your first car I assume you will want to drive ALL the time!( I know i did!! Still do!!) That will require much more love and attention to do with th FD. Plus for a First car, I would recommend something else,(the wrx,lancer,etc..) and get used to turbo power and the skills needed to drive in general. Not a slam on you I just hate seeing people get killed in/on machines that they are not ready for. Take your time getting there and you'll enjoy the car alot more. Good luck dude!!!
