Glad to see you're ok, I'm surprised that the whole thing didn't collapse considering the interior of the FD is as fragile as a sheet of paper. Hope you get back on the road soon.

That's how all FDs get crashed, the back end slides out.

well if he does not sell his parts, what else is he gonna do with his car? It would be cheaper to buy a new one rather then to try to fix it up.

250,000,000 dumbasses in this country and what 6000 FDs left? I'd say it's clearly harder to replace an FD.
are you trying to be an *******? probably never lost someone close to you? yea, the FD is rare, but in the end it's a car, not a person.

you make it sound like you rather have a person die rather than see a FD wrecked....

when you push a car sometimes things don't go right and an accident happens...that's life...

They make new humans every day. The FD count mostly due to ignoramus driving like this are dwindling.
In the last couple of months I've seen 4 wrecked fd's on this ng. 2 in this post, the one where the owner's father was driving and another where a student hit a pole. So thats about 2 a month that I have seen. I could not possibly have seen more than 5% of the fd's wrecked so that means that at least 40 are being totalled every month. That's 480 a year, so if there are 6000 in the US then that's a 12 and-a-half year supply. But at least some of that 12.5 year supply must be run out already, so they could be almost extinct in 6 or so years

b) The number that are wrecked won't be a constant. Rather it will be a percentage.

If you get 200 wrecked when you have 6000 you will get 100 wrecked when you have 3000.

c) As the cars become more rare, hopefully they will end up in more responsable hands and the total number wrecked will go down.

These cars are made for speed and we are all going to test that out from time to time and accidents will happen but a lot of them are caused by sheer stupidity, inexperience or missguided youthful agression.
I don't think it will be a constant percentage though. As the cars get older they get cheaper and fall into the hands of less responsible drivers

I hope you get stuck driving a Honde Civic DX with 13" wheels and an AM radio.

You're going to hell.
