Sorry, but what's so wrong with this car? The paint job looks good, overall I would say the car looks good. Clean looking engine bay. I would assume in owners view it looks good. The owner can ask as much as he wants, if he really wants to sell it, he will lower the price until someone buys it. I would do the same if I didn't know how much these cars go for or if I put so much money into it. From all the modifications done to the car I would say it's worth $50 000. It's got a clean title, so there is no lean, no major accidents. Engine has been recently rebuilt. A completely stock honda s2000 costs almost $50 000. On this rx7 the paint job alone would cost over $5000. It seems to be professionally done, and car was disassembled at that time, so there are no unexpected color changes when you open the door or hood. Everyone has different taste...in everything wether it be food, cars or clothing.
Where did you see the frame? I spent almost an hour looking for the frame and the only pic I was able to find which had a slight resemblence of the frame is the one which shows the engine bay from the front, you can barely see the frame where the battery used to be. Anyway, why would the car not ride right? Around 70% of the cars are rebuilt (were involved in an accident at some point in time) 99.9% of rx7's were involved in some sort of an accident. It's been 10-13 years since the cars were built. It's almost impossible to drive a car for 12 years and not have a sngle accident, unless it was parked in the garage. If done right there is absolutely no difference b/w a new car and rebuilt car (car which was involved in an accident). The owner is offering a test drive to serious bidders, so he's got nothing to hide, and personally, based on the pictures there is no visible frame damage.

2. modified cars rarely bring as much as they cost to build
3. no unexpected color changes? they left the engine bay grey
4. cars don't go for full retail unless they have never sustained frame damage
5. it has nothing to do with taste. you're a fool if you pay 50k for this car.

^^ I second that.
Looked at an S2000 when I thought about trading my FD. Brand new 2005 was $32k... That's a bit less than $50k... Plus everything else he said is true.
If I was gonna pay $50k for an FD it would be the Carbon Fiber FD on eBay That's a beautiful RACE CAR.
