I'd sell mine for $10k in a heartbeat. Needs paint. had a frontend crash but has a clear title and was fixed properly. New trans + recent engine. PM if interested :P

but I'd rather keep it, I love the car

HOW MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????

Prices have remained about the same for the last 7 years and modded FDs have come WAY down. You can speculate about it all day long. However a nice stock FD with low mileage would sell for 18k bottom and 25k tops in 2000 and that's what they sell for now. The car above could be a possible exception depending on condition, compression etc... The only real difference I see in todays market is a narrowing demand. You just have to wait for some die hard FD lover to get even KBB value (which forum members ALWAYS calculate as retail & excellent when usually private and fair to good is the answer) and they are dropping like flies because they're moving on to greener pastures. Which tells me that even cars with 40 to 50k miles will start selling for 13 or 14k (if you look around it's already happening) and only those very rare 25k mile and below cars will retain the 25k plus values of yesterday.

The prices listed on autotrader are a joke. If your idea of selling a car means listing it for 20k and waiting a year and finally excepting 15 or 17k then great but you just lost 5k doing it and subjected yourself to the risk of ownership and the use of garage space.

I have two cars for sale right now and they are both overpriced because they haven't sold. If I needed to sell them I would accept what the market would bear but I enjoy them both and as soon as one sold I'd just buy another one anyway lol

I had my car listed at 20k for a few months, had basically no interest.

Finally I just dropped the price to 17k, and got a bite in a month.. buyer paid the full asking. I had way more invested and the car was mint, but I needed cash baddd.
