Would this create overboost on stock twins? Quick question.
I had a profec-b installed correctly in my FD (Even the din switchs where correct)....and i was getting major overboost problems. With the profec off, i would still get 10-11psi. With it on, i would see anywhere from 12, on low, to 18 on high!
Anyways, so I stuck the needle vavles in there, just so i could drive it without melting my engine down. With the valves open all the way, i was still getting 10psi. No big deal....it worked for me.
The other day, i had a vacuum line pop off. It turned out to be the one that goes from the Y-pipe, to the black pressure tank by the upper intake manifold. The one with the one way check valve. As it turns out, the check valve will not let air pass either direction. Not good. I'm replacing it, but just wanted to know if that would create over boosting? Or does over boosting just have to do with the wastegate? Thanks, CJ
What exactly does the black pressure tank do?
