Ok, as some of you may know, Permatex thread sealer works very well to help keep your rats nest in order, but just don't glop it in the end of the hose and slide it on!
A little dab on the nipple shaft will do the job.
I witnessed first hand that there is a correct way to do it and a wrong way to do it. I won't mention any names (*cough* 93blackrx *cough*) but it sure makes it easier to diagnose boost problems when your solenoid valves aren't glued shut!

Oh yeah, did you know that you can actually take apart the wastegate/precontrol solenoids (if there sticky or stuck with Permatex) and fix them? Not too difficult really. Not sure what the dealer wants for these units, they are really quite simple on the inside.

Anyhow, I had to rub someones nose in it, so I hope you all learn from his, oh so humble, mistake.

 

Oh yeah, Matt, I think that a rotor oil cap is the perfect payment for this!

ha ha, okay so I made a mistake.... but I really like that rotor oil cap. maybe if you fix my boost problem I'm having now,., then you can have it you could use a little on your car. I'll even buy you some of those glow lights that we ricers put under our cars!! now that real bling.
