Will this work?

Well...I feel like an idiot. Basically I got a website from a buddy of mine to order a replacement motor, unfortuanately he was out of town when I made the order. After talking to him he's not sure if the motor I ordered will work, so I'm hoping someone here has an opinion. I have a 94 stock rx-7, stock motor, tt, manual transmission, etc. The motor that i ordered is this one 13B sequential

According to the website selling the motor, this is a newer motor that uses sequential turbos and they do not have any of the older ones (the one that I have in my car), but they said it should still work, then they proceeded to tell me thy dont install so i need to check with my installer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like its a 13B Cosmo motor (and from the picture as well), however the description on the website has the specs for the later 99+ RX-7 engines. Who knows what you'll get!

If you get a Cosmo motor, you are in for a headache as it's not a direct bolt up application. If you get a 99+ 13B-REW, then you can use the core engine and your accessories.

You're screwed. That is a 13B-RE from a Cosmo, not a 13B-REW. It will not bolt-in. Why didn't you just get your blown motor rebuilt or order a Mazda re-man instead of spending $1500 on a USED engine of UNKNOWN condition?

Well Ive already purchased a different car so I'm getting this one fixed and sold. Rebuilding the motor was gonna be more exspensive then just replacing it. Whats this Mazda reman you speak of?

It's a factory rebuilt motor. However, it's technically NOT rebuilt by Mazda. Mazda contracts out the work for the rebuilds. The remans are offered through Mazda around $2500 (including sending in your blown/damaged core).
