Will a streetport pass smog?

I have to get a smog test from the CA state referee because I got cited.

I have a streetport, will I pass? Everything else is stock now.

probably not... just make sure you "pretest" if you can... dont want to be labeled a gross polluter.

also depends on how aggressive that street port is...

I just barely passed with a HF cat, the stock pre-cat, and a mild street port.

I had to put the pre-cat back on to pass. I bet you can pass if you have both the stock main cat and pre cat.

Should be interesting ... I'm going to have to visit the smog guy with my Pineapple "small" street port eventually.

Let us know how you do ...

Hate to expose the rubber in our cars to alcohol, but have you thought about this trick? I.E. alcohol in the gas.

I'm in CA and had to mix 2g of denatured alcohol into 5g of 91 octane to get it to pass, failed the first time. This is with both cats and a med streetport.

when you are forced to go see a CA state referee, those people are said to be un-bribable. I'm not sure whether or not they really are though.

Does anybody know the ratio of alcohol to gas? And is it the same denatured alcohol you can purchase at most hardware stores? I have failed emissions twice but I think I have to change my egr 'cuse it keeps throwing me a code everyime I drive it in hot weather.

Just run the tank down near the red, pour 4 cans of dry gas (just alcohol) in it, have em run the test, then fill the tank.

Can't you guys in CA weld two main cats together just for the sake of pasing smog? once you're done then you put your HFC or MP back on.

The main cat is much easier to pull...seems like it would be a pain to pull off the precat each time you have to go test.
