Wierd starting problem

Hey guys, I really need help on this one. I've owned my FD for Ten years now, so there's not much it can throw at me that I can't catch but this one has me in a tizzy. It all started suddenly when I took it out to get some gas. On the way back home I noticed it started to misfire until all cylinders (so to speak) appeared to just shut down, and it refused to restart. Got a tow home, changed the fuel filter checked everything else I could think of & it fired right up. Problem solved, Right? Wrong! It now starts easily, idles smooth as can be, but if it runs for 2-3 mins., it doesn't even have to properly warm up, it refuses to start after shutting down & trying an immediate restart. It cranks over but doesn't catch & It then starts right up after it completely cools off.

I'm using a PowerFC base tuned by the RX7 Store, XS TO4E single turbo, no cats, stock engine, etc.

All suggestions welcome.

Chris.

Does the car also turn off when you turn the headlights on?

bad coolant temp sensor maybe? when mine went bad, it was a bitch to start when already warmed up. doesn't really sound like your problem though.

Any chance you smell fuel in the engine bay?

Just got back in from a long couple days at work, so I haven't tried the lights thing yet, but I thought about the coolant sensor too, & from all indications on the PFC Commander it's working normally, ie Temp indicates air temp when car is cold, & it goes up as the engine warms up.
And no fuel smell in the bayAny other ideas?
Thx,
Chris.

Are you using an FPR? Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? You might have fuel pressure leak somewhere that is causing the problem.
