FL Wierd Power Window Issue

Effect - Power windows stopped working all of a sudden. I have a new window switch and when I connected and depressed the down button for the drivers side window, the window started to go down but then stopped. Will not work any longer.

Neither DS or PS window will go up or down ( and no its not the little off/on switch )

I've checked the 30a fuse and its good and I've even tested the window motors themselves by jumping them to the battery. They work fine.

So now I'm imagining the wire harness is the culprit. Can anyone please give me some advice so I don't go crazy here. I would really like the ability to use my windows as they are meant.

Cause - ???

You are on the right track. I would definately check the harness. Had a similar problem and it ended up being the harness.

I would take apart the Drivers side master switch and inspect the window lock mechanism as well if it isn't the harness.

You can take the plastic off, and control the windows from the circuit board itself. See if a piece of plastic broke or something...

If it turns out to be the harness, I have one that you could have, just pay shipping. Only thing is I don't know which side it's for

Ok so im back with the window issue. Seems that there is a bad ground going to the passenger side window switch. Well as a solution I grounded the 2 wires that go into the passenger subswitch and it seems to be working fine Still can control the window from the drivers side but at least it works right? Ok next thing is now all of a sudden the drivers side main is not pulling 12v... Wtf... It's gone out intermittently but now its just becoming a pain in my ****. Can anyone help me out?
