Wierd engine problems...
Ok, I started a thread on this a few days ago but didn't give you guys a full synopsis of what was happening because I myself was not sure what was going on, here is my problem...
My car had what I thought was a blown apex seal on my original engine, thats all fine and good so we bought a new (used) engine with 40k or so miles on it that ran fine from a local vendor. The tore the new engine down all the way so it was just the block, we used everything we could, save the block, off of my old engine on the new one. When we put the new engine it everything was fine and dandy looking except when they went to start it up. My car, according to the mechanic that worked on it is showing 0 compression in the rear rotor, it is also jerking around violently. My problem other than that is, it appears to be producing so much boost it is trying to blow the intake manifold hose off of the intercooler, you can actually see the hose contract and move while giving the car gas.
How would a car with 0 compression in the rear rotor even be able to produce any boost let alone enough boost to blow hoses off? And what can cause this low compression?
My mods are: Apex turbo timer, HKS SSQ BOV, HKS Fuel cut defencer, Bonez downpipe, HKS Intake and Efini y-pipe and that is it.
My friends and fellow rotor heads have been wracking our brains trying to figure this problem out... please if anyone has any ideas at all please please message me or post your ideas here. Your help is very much appreciated and thanks in advance.
