Question wierd compressor surge. I searched

Ok, so here is a weird problem that just poped up after doing a clutch job and having to remove the turbos due to a downpipe stud breaking off flush in the turbos. First a little info. My car boosts fine to 14psi(tuned to 14psi) drops to 10-12 and then hits 14 again fine. I'm only pulling 12-14mg vacume at idle. When boosting WOT the transition although the pattern seems ok it feels rough. It's like it wants to fall on it's face on the transition but then pulls hard as hell as soon as the secondary kicks in. now for the weird problem. If I let off the throttle at around 3500-4500 rpm instead of the bov sound I get what sounds like compressor surge. If I let off higher in the rpm I don't get that but the bov sound is quiter than normal. Is it possible I hooked the bov and crv up in reverse? are they interchangeable? I don't know what else it could be but maybe some of you guys have an idea or two. thanks in advance

before work bump. I took my 7 out for a test last night and noticed that as she warms up the vacume is at 16 and it rises slowly to 12 and now when it transfers to the secondary turbo it feels like it pulls then lets up. it's not a consistant at all. I'm still lost....

I would help you if I had any idea, but if I had to guess I would say vaccum leak somewhere.

are you running seq. setup and stock solenoids? If so, the stock solenoids are only made to handle around 8-10 psi pressure, so if you are boost around 14 psi, the solenoids are actually see more from the manifold. I would go back to stock boost setting and see if you car still behaves the same with the weird noise from the BOV and what not. If everything works normal under stock boost, I would try to control the pressure to only 10 psi to the pressure chamber. I hope this helps. Also there is a good thread disgussing how to. do a search. good luck
