Wierd boost Problem

Wierd boost Problem
Ok here is the deal
I have normal 10-8-10 bost pattern from a roll or dead stop through 1st second and third, but when im crusing on the highway in 5th and floor it my boost just keeps on going (im usually around 80-85) 10-11-12-13 - then I usually just let off. Out of curiousity I tried this in 4thy as well, 10-11-12-13 And I let off again. Does anyone know why my boost just keeps on going?
The car has a K&N filter in stock Airbox and a 3" Cat Back as its only mods.
