Angry Why is my motor leaking oil

Why would my motor be leaking oil onto my downpipe behind my turbo under boost?

Maybe because your timing cover gasket might slipped out because that is why my car is leaking oil and getting fixed while we speak

Oh my the front cover seal is expensive to change, it think its like 6-8 hours of labor. the funy thing about leaks is that sometimes its misleading. It could leak from one area and just travel till it drips. The best thing to do is clean up the area really good and take the car for a spin and do a close up inspection, or you could use some dye tracer in the oil. I think you can get that stuff at parts stores.

Check your turbo oil drain lines also.

Well, i know its not a drip because it only leaks when the car is under boost. The car does not drip oil on the concrete. I know it is coming from the right side of the motor or turbo because it sprays on my downpipe. Ill check all that stuff today though.

One more possible cuprit - the gasket on the air pipe where it mounts to the rear turbo. It's really hard to see unless you have a downpipe since it's hidden by the precat. That sucker gets cooked over time and will turn hard. Easy and cheap to fix once the pre-cat is out of the way. If you have a dp you can reach it easily.

Well.... I have a Greddy T-78 turbo. I got under and looked really close and it looks like its coming from low on the motor. Oh yea there arent any cats either. Who knows, hopefully i can figure it out this weekend!
