Why is my car dead?? (Video included)

Ok... the other day there my car sortof just cut out. Before that it was running fine etc.

I thought it was flooded as it wouldn't start again, so I de-flooded it.

Today..... well, this was today....

Anyone any ideas as to what's wrong with the thing? Plugs are new.

Any help greatfully received!!!

I noticed your oil pressure is really low, and it started increasing when you were reving it. It does not sound healthy at all! How many miles? Mods? Could be a fried apex seal and it might be time for a rebuild.

Also I noticed in the beginning of the video you were boosting or getting you car boosted. Maybe you guys did something wrong like let a spark jump and you fried your ecu.

it honestly sounds like only one of the rotors isn't firing, it's obviously out of balance so i would check anything ignition oriented to start off....does the car have a lot less power when you drive it? the smoke from the BOV is most likely the oil blow by from the turbos burning off unless it's never done that before

a blown apex seal is a strong possibility but you want to check everything before you throw the money down for a rebuild

I'd just start with a compression test. Not to break your heart but my car has the same idle sound and rpms, and I have no compression on one of the rotors. I should know here in a couple hours for sure what went wrong once we get it apart, but it undoubtedly needs the rebuild.

i also noticed some smoke coming out the exhaust, i might as well point that out until some1 corrects me, if u let the car warm up for atleast 10 - 20 minutes, and its still smoking, and the smoke is "white" that means its rebuild, but, like tt7hvn said, make sure u check "everything" possible b4 throwing down a rebuild.. but, just a suggestion..

Did you do anything to it before this happened? Like added on some other mod or turned the boost up? Did you change anything that's out of the regular routine for your car?

mine is in the process of a rebuild atm....and i hate to say yours has many of the symtoms that i had.
i chipped a corner off one of my apex seals...car still drove fine and wasnt blowing any smoke. symtoms i had were my engine was shaking a bit like yours does...and i got a comp. test done....one rotor was shown up pretty weak.
your oil pressure gauge is VERY low.
and your idling very low as well...is that how you normally idle?

get a compression test dude.....but it doesnt look/sound good....
i know how it feels...

Thats the way mine sounded when I blew mine up. The engine shake is bad news. Just get a compression test done and on your way there stop by the bank and take out $3000 just incase.

I had the same symptoms (shaking, sounded like it was running on one rotor) as your your car after I replaced the primary injectors, turned out the injector on the front rotor was bad.

In this type of situation, stop and do a compression test. That way you'll know for sure what's up. If the motor is good, time to start looking elsewhere for the problem. If it's the motor, there you go.

Also make sure the vacuum line to the MAP sensor hasn't come off - that's pretty common, and the car will run like crap with it popped off.

As I'm a novice at the tech of rotary, I can't give much other than meer suggestions. The first thought i had was to check the timing (crank angle sensor) as it didn't sound like it was firing right at low RPMs but sounded . . . eeeeehhhh, ok. . . when you gave it gas. That's being optimistic, though. Good luck, mate.
