Something still looks very fishy about it, however.

Anytime I've ever had my plenum off, it's never looked like this.

But I do think the original poster should replace their PCV valve or use a catch can.

mine has always looked like that as well. And on the TB, the top two plates were totally dirty/black while the bottom single one was clean....

The injectors are slightly used. Think less than 6k miles on them. They're the OEM 550's. But parts have been known to fail..

Would leaky injectors make it harder to start when the car is hot, rather than a cold start?

I'll see about pulling my uim off yet again to check 'em out tonight.

I'm saying that its flooded, because it'll just crank if I turn the key. When it's cold it may start. But if I push the pedal to the floor when turning the key it'll start within 6 or 8 cranks.

Yes...leaky injectors or FPR will cause hot start problems

PRC solenoid will cause hot start issues.

You say *slightly* used, how many o-rings were replaced?

The injectors had less than 6k miles on them and I think all of them were.

Bringing a thread back from the dead...

I just had my UIM off this week and it looked just like that.

None of the runners (the clean or the dirty) were wet. The intake elbow is always a little damp, but not dripping.

Not sure why it is only the secondaries, but I think the EGR valve dumps some mess into the intake runners.

Just wanted to add that after looking at the UIM recently, there's no way it's the PCV as the PCV enters the primaries only.

I think j9fd3s' theory is probably the closest.
