who's sold there FD?

I just ended up selling mine. I was wondering what were your guy’s feelings when you sold it?

I haven't ever been this depressed in my life, and my life really hasn't been easy sor to say.

I've know that I was selling the car for over a week, now its really gone (to a great home)

So how long were you "sad" for? I’m going on a week and it just keeps getting worse, i really don’t want to do anything that i used to love to do and i cant sleep at all....

I think I might go to a doctor(I work at a hospital) and see if I’m clinically depressed.

I am not eating normaly.

i also moved to a new town, i have no freinds up here so that doesn't help any eather

Dunno if this should be in the lounge

Get another money pit. You know you need another FD.

Its a drug

Sometimes I thought about selling mine, but I know for a fact I could then never own it again (only 2 in country) so I guess I'm stuck with it as long as I can afford something that will equal my FD.

rx7weee, i thought you have another fd? just move that love over to that one..

as far as your topic, i never sold my fd and i dont intend to in the future but when i sold my t2 i was sad..i mean i was a bit frustrated and angry at this car when i couldnt get it to run the way i wanted to (still drove though no problem) but when i decided to get rid of it i was happy..then when the guy picked it up and left with it, i almost cried..i was a bit sad for like the next 3 weeks, then i got another car to daily drive and i started to have fun with that..all at the same time while saving for the fd which i have today

When the car sits cuz there is snow/cold I definately get depressed. That and the bitter weather you can't even really go outside. Windchill is like -20 right now

Came close to selling my a few times but don't have the ***** to do it. I am actually selling my daily driver (2003 Mazda6) in 2-3 weeks because I am tired of spending money onthe FD and rarely drive it. I've decided to drive the FD from now on. And if it break down all the times then I won't feel so bad getting rid of it. It hard to replace the FD with something else unless you willing to spend another 10K to get the same look and performance of the FD. Give it time you will be alright for sure.

You know, I'm pretty sure the reason you are depressed is not based purely on the fact that you sold your FD. More likely than anything, it's probably the new town you moved into. It helps to make new friends in a new area, you need to make it your new home. The reason you might be depressed might be the fact that you lack a "home". The reason that the leaving of the FD caused you to feel even more depressed is because that was the only thing remaining in your life that gave you the feeling of home. Material objects can do that to you. (sorry, this is really lounge material now)

almost sold mine, glad I didn't

So I posted my car up for sale here and there. I wanted to buy this really nice bike... It was a 1998 Honda NC 35 with Ohlins shocks, Upside down forks, Single Side Swingarm, you name it! But nobody bought it from me during the time that I wanted to sell it (thank goodness). Desperation was in the air and I kicked the price down to 13k and it even had a brand new rebuild from Tripoint can you believe that?!?!?! Anyhow my love affair with that bike mellowed out pretty quickly and by the time someone was ready to buy my 7, I no longer wanted to sell it. Moral of the story is that I really love my 7, even more than that super rare bike and it just took me a month to realize that. *whew* thank goodness I didn't sell it and nobody bought it!!!!

Sold my RX7 and bought a 911 cab. In so many ways, these cars are equally capable in performance. However, 911 does everything with more comfort, more sophistication.

I still miss the FD and that's when I jump into the 911 and go for a ride.

If you ever sell your FD, make sure you get something faster and more expensive!!!

Am I the only one who doesn't view their FD as a car? It's not material property, it's a part of ME. It's NOT up for sale...to me it's like trying to sell a body part or somethin. HELL na you ain't takin a part of me.

I have sold a few FD's now....every time I sell one, I tell myself to get something more practical, more reliable, less maintenance, etc....and every time I end up with another FD. I am now on RX7 number 6 I think.....dunno for sure any more....but I just don't see myself without one. I like lots of cars...but nothing has the character or personality of an FD. Even though it sometimes acts like a ******* bitch....I still love her.
