i just got my hks evc 5 and wanted to know how many you guys are using it and if you had any problems with it thanks.

 

I had It . so far so good, pretty easy to use.

 

I've got it. I've had a few glitches but once you've got it running it works great.

I have an EVC 4 and am not thrilled with it's boost accuracy. Any comparisons available to other boost controllers you might have used before the EVC 5?

 

You PM'ed me a question about the setup. Since I had the same problem before because I had lost the manual I would rather post it here for other people to know.

On the controller the valve hookup is as follows.

Make sure you turn the controller to popet mode for external wastegates. The switch on the back of the unit with the volume *****. Make sure the power is on the the unit when you do it otherwise it freaks out and gets upset

(External popet Wastegates)

O - Top valve of the external wastegate
I - Take a feed from your turbo housing or pipe BEFORE the intercooler. Use a T fiting to send a line to the I of the controller and the other line to the side valve of the wastegate
B - Manifold pressure. Just use one of the nipples at the bend on the UIM.
