who is using a/c with fmic

looking at modifying a npr intercooler to fit in the front of my 94. i DO NOT want to lose the my a/c. who is has chosen to keep their a/c and use a fmic. i already have the npr ic and have someone to modify it, but i need some pics --very informative pics-- on how to /where to mount my a/c piece and my new pwr rad. a picture could be worth a thousand words, but the words help too. thanks

It's fairly simple ... you're going to have to make brackets if that's the FMIC route that you're going. Mount the radiator behind the FMIC, slanted forward a bit (fans on back), and mount the AC condensor between the FMIC and radiator ... you can bracket it to either the radiator at a slant or FMIC, but I'd go with the radiator on account of the fans pulling air through. You'll have to get rid of the stock airbox or anything of that design probably, and you might want a smaller battery and/or relocate it.

Did you get the large NPR or the Medium one?

I have the medium and didn't relocate anything.

Here are some good pics of my Greddy 2 FMIC installed, maybe it will help you visualize your installation.

specifically in this pic, you can see the rad, the a/c condensor and the FMIC.

thanks for the info. that install looks very clean well thought out. i'm assuming that all the brackets and relocation pieces came with the kit or did you fab some of the stuff? i will take these photos to my guy and have him do something like this with my npr i/c.

i have the large. i talked with you a while back about your set up asking you about the custom piping and if you had shortened the ic. you told me that it was that size and just played with the end caps. can you send me some pics of how your piping is routed? thanks, same email:

I've seen some where the ac condenser was parallel to the ground. Don't know if that helps...
