who sells/makes a fuel cut defenser for the FD?
I believe its HKS talk to Jason at www.jt-imports.com he should be able to hook you up..
Or Just talk to whomever your mech is and if he gets HKS as a distributor maybe you can get a good price..

Everything I have ever read about the fuel cut def. for the FD has warned against it's use. There are much better ways to get around this than using this item. Do some research first before comitting to this item. My opinion anyway.

Frank,
There is nothing wrong with using it. Just as long as your not going over 1.2 boost and your almost all stock but a filter and a muffler. If you have a Single I wouldnt recommend it by FAR! You would need a computer upgrade..
The PFC or something of that nature or just a computer tune and get rid of the FUEL and SPEED CUT and it would be better, but maybe he doesnt have the cash.

But do they work on the FD?
I had one guy say that he tried 4 different kinds to no avail. Fuel cut always hit.
Now I do NOT know what he was trying to run at the time (single vs twin, lbs boost) so maybe that only applied to his situation.
Anyone have info on this?

Why would anyone trust their motor to one of those? If you keep your boost at 10 psi, you can run all the bolt-ons and still be reasonably safe. You cannot run higher boost safely with the stock ecu. Period. You will run lean.
BTW, if someone can't afford an ecu or isn't willing to restrict his boost, then maybe they shouldn't be modding their car....
new engine > $3k
ecu ~ $700, or less for used

I agree with you rynberg. The FCD is garbage in my opinion.

I think if someone doesn't want to spend a lot of money and knows what he is doing, an FCD and a few other simple tricks could make an FD run killer, without hurting the engine. But I don't think a lot of people probably fall into that category.
I have an FCD but haven't had the time to play with it.
