IMO, those rims "look" heavy on the RX-7. Looks like a late 80's wheel design. Thinner spokes would look more up to date.

What do you think happened to them after the ferrari 2 year lease, they were sold!! So unless they were smashed up or put in museums, there will still be the same amount of them around. Very few people actually have them because very few were actually made!

They remind me a bit of a model OZ made a while back, but they're not the same though. They're definitely not Kinesis though. Either way they kinda look a wee bit clunky, but agree about them looking "euro" Maybe they're Speedlines since that's who makes Ferrari's wheels......doh....

Oh, and look on www.dupontregistry.com now and there are 3 or 4 F50's for sale right now. Not a bad deal if you have $750k

Thanks for the input, but thats not what we are trying to solve.

Chris wants to know what the wheels are on the first FD pictured.

And as far as F50's go, I believe Ferrari did surverys and gauged that there was a market for 350 of them, so they built 349.

If someone is making an incorrect statement, then it's not hurting anyone if they are simply corrected- least of all you. If Chris had a problem with my statment in his thread, then maybe he should be the one to speak up. While we are on the nitpicking, if the focus of the thread is on the rims on the FD, then your added contribution doesn't really help us either, now does it?

Everyone take a deep breath. If I had known the Ferrari pictures would be this distracting I wouldn't have posted them. However, on a positive note they have helped keep the thread alive. I have nothing but positive feelings for everyone that has responded to this thread.

I have been going over the pictures with a fine tooth comb recently trying to spot things to 'search' for.

Here is what I have so far:
-the black car is a 3rd gen
-the black car is not a touring, but could be a 95, r2, r1, base
-the black car has rear mud flaps, but not front.
-the black car has tinted windows
-the silver car has been in an accident
-I recall that the thread was advertising one or both cars for sale. Therefore, the person that posted the thread may have sold other cars before and after this. For this reason I am looking for people that recognize the house/area or have pictures of other cars at this location.
-The house appears to be in a rural area (stone driveway)
-The location appears to be hilly.
-The climate appears to be northern.
-the license plate on one car is partially visible. If anybody recognizes the style of plate please let me know.

Let me clear up the confusion here:

That black car was a 93 r1 with 17 inch OZ wheels. I sold the wheels a while back to someone out west and also sold the car...its now up in NY I think. The silver one is long gone too. The red one is still floating around here in Asheville, NC.

I do work on 3rd gens and rebuild the cars but unlike Hinson I don't put "boingers" into RX-7s. Thats a disgrace.

I think that there is a set of those wheels still around here on a Supra. I'll ask him if he wants to sell them since you can't get them anymore.

Icemastr, if that is your house then why don't you start making the payments on it.
