who here has...

I am deep into an engine rebuild. Bridge port, 3mm's, race bearings, etc. What my question is. Who here runs pre mix. I have heard of some people removing the Oil metering pump system and premixing? What does it take to do this and is it reliable and pratical? When I get it up and running it is going to be street and strip but not a daily drive. And I dont give a **** about emissions.

I'm all ears.

Thanks

The thread that Mahjik suggested doesn't answer my question.

Does anyone on the forums run premix AND HAVE THERE OILMETERING SYSTEM REMOVED. I already put 4oz of Marvil Mystery Oil in at every fill up

Resource does. PM him. I personally think you should leave it and make sure it's properly working and then add 4oz of premix every time also. It injects oil according to rpm and boost....putting some oil in the gas is not the same thing at all IMO.

And why MMM? I would get some amsoil 2 stroke no ash TCW-3 or get the pettit protek stuff.

The reason that most people remove it is because they install stand-alones like haltek and autronic etc. When installing these stand-alones they no longer control the OMP so people chose to go ahead and remove it and compensate for it by premixing. This is one reason the Apex Power FC is so popular, you don't HAVE to premix.

You asked TWO questions. One, who here runs premix. Two, who runs premix and has removed the OMP.

For the second question, visit the Haltech forum and see which people are running that ECU. They will be your best source for information.

Also, if you search, you'll see that rxrotary2_7 runs a Haltech. PM him about premix questions without the OMP.
