Who have FAILED WALBORO PUMP?
I always hear it but how many of the 3rd gen owners who have installed the walboro 255 lph fuel pump failed on them. How long did it last and what do you think is the reason it failed? was it poor quality or something else?

I've heard many stories about Walbro pumps, but I had a 255 in my TII back in the day that worked GREAT for MANY years - matter of fact I think it's still going for the current owner of that car.

time frame and an FD owner...Had mine in for 1 1/2 years, but the car was down for 6 months, LOL.
I've had a Walbro pump in for ~9k miles. It sees pressures as high as 55psi. No problems here.

I've "never" heard of them failing, only people repeating rumors of hearing other people saying that they've heard from other people that read about stories of other people repeating what they've heard of failures.

Nobody have posted any bad experience with their FDs so far. It seems to me the walboro failed stories are just a myth. Everytime its always i heard it happen to someone or a friend. Is anyone out there that can prove that this is not a myth, at least for FDs. I know its not a super pump and it is subject to same mechanical abuse and wear as any other fuel pumps out there in the market. I don't expect it to last for decades but a reasonable amount of time, 5 to 7 years maybe. Lets clear up this belief that Walboro is/not a dependable fuel pump once and for all.

The Walbro is a 255 ltr/hr pump. The Supra pump, AKA the Nippondenso pump is good too. I think there was actually a thread comparing the 2 pumps a while back. Search for it.

alright.. i just had 2 walbro start to die on me the past 2 weeks
well..... for 2 months i didnt realize taht my strainers(socks) on the 2 walbro pumps were getting clogged by the premix i was using. until i replaced the socks, then i drove the car for the next 4 months....
when steve kan came to tune my car i was losing fuel pressure at boost, so.... we assumed that they were the pumps causing it, since different injector duty still changed the afrs. so i replaced them today, and the 2 pumps wont let me go lower than 45psi... so i know that they're running good.
