Who has a battery kill switch for drag racing?
Tech guy told me to never come back unless I had one.
Trying to decide which one to get, the push pull or basic switch type. I'll probably get the basic switch because it's lighter.
Anyone have pictures of where they mounted theirs? I was thinking about mounting it right in the middle of my license plate, between the numbers.

I would have to say that this forum is more geared around road racing than drag racing. If you were to post in a diferent section maybe you would have better luck. I would like to see some more pics of your car and maybe some stats. I was folowing the conversion thread but didn't see many finished pics.

A couple of the v8 converted cars have them.
Most are using the push pull type switches, mounting it in the rear "lock" area. From what I understand, it's pretty easy to remove the lock mechanism (at the track even), you just need to secure the hatch, and make sure it doesn't fly open at 100+ mph. Plus, it's nice to not have the kill switch in there permanent where the local yokels can mess with it.

Three keys for the external cutoff:
1. Push to Off if it is a push pull style
2. Must be labeled to be NHRA legal
3. Must kill the power to the motor not just the power to the starter (You have to break the power between the alternator and the main fuse block)
