white smoke one startup and until engine warms up

my engine smokes like crazy (white smoke) when I'm driving around before the car reaches full operating temp, then it goes away once the needle is in the halfway mark.

White smoke? It could be trouble. How does it smell? Sweet?

A little bit of white smoke ppl tend to dismiss as condensation... a lot? well u may have coolant o-ring failure.

The search function will uncover more info.

You can try....

HC strip
Check spark plugs
bubble test

I get the white smoke for first 5-10min when its parked outside during work. I just got the mazda reman motor in about 1000miles ago.

I'm told the real problem is when white smoke appears when you restart a warm engine after a brief stop. (Like a fill-up at the station). Generally white 'smoke' is a lot of condensation steaming off as it warms up.

Mine makes some pretty hefty steam clouds now and then - usually in the morning. Champagne bubble test and compression test come out great.
