Whistling Noise

When i gun it (high rpms) my 3rd gen is making a whistling noise...is that common?

It's called BOOST
Check your Hoses between the Y-pipe and the upper tube and the IC hoses. The most COMMON conector to fail is the one right above the Y-pipe. You can't even hardly see it unless you remove the tube connected to it. Don't be fooled by it. You almost never see a slit on it unless you take it off and bend it around.

Even a SMALL slit probably wont cause a drop in boost, but it WILL cause a whistle.

I had the same deal...the black tube comming from the turbos was loose.

Mine also used to whistle at high rpms. Turned out to be a vacuum hose that popped off a check valve.
