While cruising my rpms drop

I bought this car over the winter and have had it on the road for a few weeks now. It has a T61 single with all supporting mods and i just had it dyno tuned a couple weeks ago. It runs very strong for about 20-30min without any hesitations or issues. Then it will start to sputter and the rpms will rapidly move around, higher and lower. It got so bad today that the car didn't want to go much at a 40mph cruise. It doesn't matter what gear i'm in. It use to go away after a couple minutes but it did it for 15minutes until i got home. Any ideas? Could it be my ignition? maybe i need an aftermarket setup? tia

A little more information on the mods and i could at least give you some ideas, but that's kind of vague. sounds like ignition though, so give me the lowdown on the ignition system including whether or not someone was cutting wires in the two large connectors on the left fender by the fuse box.

Keep an eye on your battery life and Alternator... when it happens...
