While changing sway bar bushings...

While changing to energy suspension sway bar bushings I had to chop the pieces to the side of them that are rubber with a metal band around them. Will this affect anything? Should I be calling Malloy for new ones?

They're only purpose is to keep the bar centered in the chassis. As long as they are still doing that there is no need to worry.
