Where to get stainless braided clutch line? + Why I hate getting towed.

OK, so last night I was headed back to Brooklyn from IRP out in NJ. I made it into Manhttan, and was about to turn from 6th Ave onto Houston St when my clutch pedal went in and didn't come back out. Pulled over, popped the hood, clutch fluid everywhere. Bummer. Well it's an easy fix, but definitely not a road-side fix.

On my phone's last leg of battery I managed to call AAA and request a flat-bed. The truck came in 10 minutes BUT the guy didn't have any wooden planks so my CF replica RE-Amemiya diffuser got majorly 'effed up. I mean I didn't have any choice. After it was up on the truck we went to get ANOTHER car near midtown, dropped that off out in north NJ, then dropped my car off at IRP. When taking the car off the truck, the diffuser got even more abuse. I haven't seen it in the daylight but it's probably junk at this point.

</rant>

Does anyone know where I can get a stainless braided clutch line??? Mazda OEM would be nice, but I don't know if they make one.

Thanks!

Clutch fluid = brake fluid...I hope you cleaned it off or you can kiss that paint goodbye

-Dan

Gotta love tow truck drivers, why they don't carry wood standard is beyond me.

I carry around all the tools to take my bumper off for this reason. First time i needed a tow the guy told me to "sign this so if we screw up your bumper it's not our fault" Good thing i was at work and just left the car over night and brought the tools with me the next day.

I bought cheap tools from harbor freight if the bumper needs to come off takes me some time but saves from damage.

yeah, no ****.

Tow truck drivers in/around NYC are horrendous. Andy, I honestly came very close to attacking the one who showed up at like 2am on my aborted rescue attempt of your Spirit R look-alike.

Me: "I can't believe you don't have wooden boards with you on the truck. What kind of wrecker driver are you anyway?"

Him: "Well there's a first time for everything, isn't there?"

Me (to myself): Assault charges are bad, assault charges are bad.......

Tom, I think I jinxed you when I told you your master cylinder fluid was low, time for some brake pads

Yeah Rich I appreciate you being there. If you weren't, I would have told the guy to wreck my bumper. Much appreciated!

No worries bud. I've worked in Manhattan for over five years now so I know exactly how to handle guys like that--- you basically have to be on the offensive or you'll get eaten alive. I wasn't about to let that buffoon damage your pristine car.

Tom, I wasn't aware Katie minded you posting pictures of her on the forum ?

every tow truck i ever had they always carry 2x4s and all different sizes,.. but when i call AAA i tell them its for a low car.... i normally take off the lip of the car and it barely clears it.. but much lower does the diffuser make the car in the rear?

Tom did you get the part yet? I have my japan2la one at irp. You can use mine if you're in a rush and just buy me another one later. I don't think I'll need the line for a decent amount of time.
