Where to find Street Port template????

Soon I will be starting the rebuild of my engine and want to have it street ported. Does anyone know where I can find or have a street port template? If not does anyone know what a shop would charge to have a shop do the street port only? I have tried searching but has been search is disabled.

Thanks

It should only cost around 2-300 bucks to port.

There is a rotary shop called Lowe Performance near me that I will have do the porting as long as they don't try and charge too much for the porting.

NOTA944 just got a template for a medium size streetport from Racing Beat. You should PM him and see if he would get rid of it. He should be done with it now. Hope that helps bro. Laterz.

Re: Where to find Street Port template????

2 HOTT,
I have used Mazdatrix templates for years and have been happy with every one. I'm friends with the guys there so they lent them to me last time but I believe they do sell them.

If it were me, I wouldn't use templates from any other places then Mazdatrix, Pettit or Pineapple- they've done enough engines to know what works and what doesn't. Aside from the template, it's also gonna take a fairly good hand to do the job nicely. I remember my first time porting a 2nd gen middle steel housing- if you go to deep, you're in to the water passage. I thought I had a hairline crack from going too deep/thin but it turned out I was fine.

Good luck bro.

I have an RB template I could trace for you. wouldnt be extremely accurate, but it would give you a place to start from.

Racing Beat sells them, I think they are the same that Mazdatrix sells, Ito also sells a large port template.
