Where can I get HKS Iriduim plugs?

I tried Options, but they are out of stock...
Can anyone suggest somewhere else, that might
stock these as well?

HKS Plugs are not worth it in my opinion. They are expensive and dont make much of a difference.

This is coming from someone that sells them.
I was going to ask why the hell would anyone invest $160.00 in spark plugs???
I myself use the $2.50 a piece NGK coppers.
You have to change them a lot on these cars anyway.

Im not going to sell something that isnt worth it. I will list it and if someone really wants them I will sell them, but will usually give my opinion on what they are buying.

ngk coppers are the only way to go... the previous owner installed platniums in my TurboII FC. and he thought the platinums lasted longer so he never changed in years and 70,000+ KM.

So i went to change them the 4 plugs barely budged with a racket and socket and one refused to move, and i manged to break them. THe plugs were litteraly seized onto the housing. I soaked the last plug with toyota pentrating fluid (strongest stuff $$$ can buy) over night and spent another 3 hours taking it out and i spent 5 hours the day before.

use coppers and change them often... Rotaries eat plugs... they also eat belts, and hoses too.

I did

But I am special, I am trying to see how much i can push my stock engine and turbo's, running 16-17psi regularly, no fuel upgrades, just 11.5R plugs and 110 race gas. I want to see how much these cars can handle.

Also, the sooner the motor 'pops', the sooner i get a built engine

I heard the same thing. I think (not positive) that ErnieT had one grenade his motor on the dyno when the electrode flew into the combustion chamber.

I run NGK 10.5's leading, 9P's trailing...

Hi Goodfella,

Do you run the 10.5 on the street? Are they easy to foul? Thanks for the reply.

jc. A few years back I tried the older HKS design. Man did it ever smooth out the idle. And just run better.
I take it the Ngk race ones are just as good...

That's weird, my friend has been plaqued with mis-fire problem on XS dyno, and then with XS advice changed to NGK Iridium 10.5 and 11 the problem went away and he made 420rwhp!

I guess everyone's result will be different.

Sure do. I've even driven crosscountry with them in there 4 times. They foul, but not too quickly. If you're at high rpm alot (which I am ) then you can get away with it. I now have a crx for a daily driver, so I'm thinking of running 10.5s or 11s all around.

FYI, on RP's dyno, I gained 18 rwhp (!) from switching between 9's leading to 10.5s leading (kept the same 9's trailing) between runs. Yes, I burned the **** out of my arms . I think if you have my level of power mods, and esp. a stock ignition, then you can benefit from running race plugs leading. Many people neglect their ignition, and are losing rwhp as a result. See that 368 to the wheels in my sig? That was made with NGK 11.5's all around

Hi Goodfella,

Man that's some Horsepower. But really 18 rwhp just by switching Plugs?

I am running a Crane hi-6. RP fuel pump. Stock injectors. Pettit ecu. M2 large IC, n-tech intake, Greddy and Pettit pulleys, Kazz diff, 4.3 gears, I hope to get to your level of power .

I just ordered the 10.5 from RP. Ari is a cool guy. I will just use them for the leading plugs. Cancelled out on the HKS thing. thanks for the help.
jc.

I'm using the HKS plugs, bought the car with them in there; personally i probably wouldn't have bought them. But i havne't seen any break up at high rpms or any other symptoms of fouled plugs even though i'm running quite rich. And all i have for ignition are those plugs and some magancore wires, no twin power or anything like that, so apparently they do help some, maybe not $160 worth. Just thought i'd add my 2 cents.

I haven't try the Hks, but I did try the Iridium plugs from Denso, and they combo really nice with the Hks twin power ignition. I notice the difference when I took those plugs out.. I would buy these plugs again...
