I think that's what it's called. I am referrnig to the hydraulic that holds the hood open. I just bought an FD and I keep finding mods that I want to buy but can't seem to find anyone that sells them. Please help. Thanks in advance.

If you have a fiberglass or carbon hood then the shocks should be softer so they don't flex the hood or not use them at all. http://www.nrginnovations.com/ makes a kit for those hoods. I have a new set from Rotary Extreme but I won't use them with my RE-A hood.

I'm happy with my eBay ones ("Godspeed" brand) with my stock hood. They hold up just fine. In fact, just a single strut is able to hold the hood up without any problems, which I found out when I removed one the other day to adjust the fender.
