Where to buy a Transmission!

My 5th syncro went out and it took reverse with it! Where can I get a used tranny? Thanks!

there is a forsale section here but im not sure how relible used trannies are. ebay and parts trader has some but idk how relible those are as well. you can always buy from someplace relible like the mazda dealerships or from dealers like mazdatrix to get a better deal.

P.S. our trannies are rebuildable its like a 50 dollar part

I priced getting the 5th gear synchro job done, a Mazda mechanic I know locally quoted $60-80 labor (parts are less than $75)if I took the tranny down to him. It only takes less than 1 hour.

Also try Ebay...I bought a J-spec tranny a few months ago in very good condition for $300. It only had about 25k miles and the 5th gear synchro was perfect. Another cool thing is that it also came with the better 5th gear ratio.

I purchase a used from Shane at Rotaryworks Jx,Fla he had about 20 there no problem with tranny S4 and he sells on the forum. Good luck
