Where to buy OEM brake rotors....

Looking to buy some OEM rotors. Where is the best place AND price?

Should I buy new front pads as well even though mine are still fine?

Ray Crowe @ Malloy Mazda. (888) 533-3400.

Seriously, anything OEM that you want to purchase new should come from that man. He's awesome to work with, really knows his stuff, and has good prices/fast ship times.

You might also compare prices with places like TIRERACK (also a forum sponsor) for replacement stock-size rotors like PowerSlot.
If your rotors are in bad enough shape to change, the pads probably are too.

-_- your local autozone should be good enough 86.99 for front and 2 yr warentee.

keep your pads on they only take 20 min. to change and that's being generous.

plus you cant beat autozone's reward system, spend 20 bucks 5 times and you get 20 off

Here is another option for "stock-like" brake rotors.
http://zeckhausen.com/Mazda/RX-7_Gen3.htm

The Centric rotors are very high quality pretty inexpensive. I've used them on a few cars. The owner (David Zeckhausen) is a former FD owner. Great service from them and very good at giving advice on brake pads for track use.

Just curious about this one: is there a special reason you need OEM rotors from a Mazda dealer?

You can get stock replacements from Brembo (brembo blanks) which would cost less than OEM rotors and are made from a reputable company. These should meet and exceed OEM specifications for brake rotors for much less money. Tirerack sells Brembo rotors for $57 each.

Brembo do not make rear rotors for an FD for some reason. But, yes, you do not need OEM - Tri Point sell a pretty nice set for a decent price.

If you want slotted or drilled I can set you up with a nice set. I can also get them plain.

Brembo DOES make Rotors for the FD. But as far as I know, only for the pre 99 FD's, not the big brake post-99's

Those are Centric rotors
Tri-Point aka Pro Parts are the West Coast distributor while Zeckhausen is East Coast.
