where to buy High pressure AST cap!!!

hi all,

last night, i checked my coolant pressure and i notice that AST cap is not holding the pressure. i heard leaking air from AST cap....i need to replace it, but where to buy and what brand?

btw, i have the aftermarket AST...

Take the cap to Advanced Auto or NAPA. They should be able to match a Stant cap for you.

Get one w/o the release lever - those have a problem where use of the lever causes the seal to go off center, and not seal properly the next time you use it.

dont buy a higher pressure as this will put more pressure on your engine seals, stick with stock pressure.

most aftermarket AST uses the 1.3 bar cap, so just buy a Stant one from local auto parts store.

You have two conflicting benefits here:
1. higher pressure = less boiling and better cooling
2. lower pressure - less stress on all cooling system components

IMO, use the higher-pressure caps ONLY if you need to have better resistance to high coolant temperatures.
