Is is cracked or and leak or were you told it just does not dry the system any longer. you can actually bake those things out and evaporate the moisture out of the drying agent if that is all that is wrong. I've done it several times at home. It's simular to the dessicant that we use here in the lab and we never throw that out when it absorbed all the moisture it can hold.
