When we talk about 3rd generation rx7's are we talking about a pretty good chance of a rebuild around 70k mi?
I have $15k to spend on a rx7 just wondering what I should go for. I dont want to spend all my money in purchasing it if im looking foward to a rebuild after 2 months or so. Can anyone share there input? Thanx ahead of time.

If there's 70k on the car then there's a good chance you'll be needing a rebuild somewhat soon. Could be after 2000 miles, could be after 20,000 more miles.

Lightbulb

There are many other variables besides mileage. Frequency of oil changes, boost level over the miles (stock the whole time?), oil level always topped off, car warmed up and cooled down, degree of mods over the miles, etc etc.

Get a compression test done.

Many stock FD's see 100k. Most modded ones don't.
