What's the verdict on aftermarket headlight housings?

There have been group buys for a related item, but has anyone had any personal experience with these? The stock headlights are absolute junk in terms of lighting the road, so I suppose any upgrade would be a night and day difference. I've seen others on eBay, but most of them were actually for the FC. These new batches seem to be actually shaped for the FD.
Any input?
And mods, please don't move this to the interior/exterior forum, as this will just be lost in a sea of bodykit fanbois.
