Exclamation Whats up with my RIDE?

Ive got a 94 FD with 3mm apex seals and i know they cause a whole lot more friction in the , bu would it be enough to cause the car to surge a little bit under light acceleration?
Once i get about 3200 RPM's the car smooths out, and it idles really great.
What could cause the car to surge under acceleration? The is streetported, and has ike 10,000 miles on it.

Is it a surge like a hesitation? Does it happen whenever you accelerate from any rpm? Or does it start happening at a certain rpm and only happen at that given rpm?

Do you still have the stock ECU in there, or a piggyback ECU? If so, you are experiencing the 3k hesitation that almost everyone experiences. Once you upgrade your ECU to a standalone type it should be eliminated. Just a bug in the programming.

One thing that helps lessen the hesitation is adding extra grounds behing the engine and at the battery. Also clean up the existing grounds you have; remove bolts, remove oxidation from ends and where it contacts the body and reinstall them.

I have an Apexi FC for my computer, so i dont think its any type of problems with the fuel injection or air/fuel ratio. The car hesitates when i am accelerating slowly up to like 3000 RPMs.
Its strange because when it does it it keeps doing it like every few seconds, but when it doesnt hesitate it runs great.
I will go aheadand upgrade my grounds, hopefuly that will fix it.

Ok, i know what you are talking about. When I drive the car at or below 3k, it feels like it hesitates slightly. Usually noticeable when staying at the same speed/rpms.

I think that the map needs to be adjusted, I just don't remember which way.

Thats exactly what im talking about, its a really slight hesitation. Ill probably take it and get it adjusted then. Im still going to upgrade my grounds though.
