whats up with this?

Ok this is how it is. I have a 93 rx7 64000 miles sound motor. Just replaced my turbos because had a problem with the secondary one boosting. When i first got the car put a down pipe on it and boosted perfect. Then it got an exhaust leak and got it fixed. After that secondary wouldnt boost right checked all vacuum lines and checked everything else turbo related according to mazda manual. Still wouldnt boost right so got a barely used set of twins great condition not much shaft play at all and no cracks in manifold or on turbos. Swapped them out all new gaskets and exhaust bolts from mazda. Started it and drove it around a little bit to checked everything out. It was making a whinning sound like a supercharger would when i got into it hard and barely any boost secondary turbo primary boosted 10 psi. Took it back home checked around and couldnt find anything thought it might be a belt or the air pump check them and both checked out fine. Is there something im missing something im over looking. Hopefully u can help me anything and everything u can think of will be appreciated thanks.

If you've having only secondary issues, I'd say double check the vac lines and solenoids.

Since you've swapped twins and still have the same issue, I'd say double check the vac lines and solenoids.

It's a pain in the *** to go through all of those lines, and luckily, a forum member helped me out with a Mity Vac to check solenoids, so I managed to get mine straightened out "fairly" easily..... meaning about 2 weeks of scratching my head, then a day of work.

I'd say everything sounds like it's NOT turbo related, but turbo *control* related.

There are some really good write ups available in the FAQ section, and the color-coded diagram makes things alot easier. Hopefully it's just something small that was overlooked. Overlooking something like a crimped/misplaced vac line isn't hard to do when all of the junk is packed in there like it is.
