Question Whats a reasonable asking price for my FD.

The car has a tuning issue and needs to be tuned, I picked up a new car so I could get to work and the FD has just been sitting because I cant afford a tune with car payments. I wanna know how much I can get for the FD with the tuning issue.. Her's my old for sale thread:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-rx-7-1993-2002-vehicles-107/fs-1993-t67-fd-753521/

The car is just sitting in my yard with a tarp over it, id like to see it go to a owner who will be able to maintain it better. The engine only has around 5k miles on it and the entire turbo setup only has around 100 miles on it. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks, -Eric

It's a tough market right now. There are alot of FDs for sale. Sellers are pricing too high and buyers can't buy because of the price IMO.
All those mods and that car not running well in it's current state makes it a car that "needs work." That kinda lowers the price.
Gordon's price range seems about right. If I were to buy it, it would be in the lower end of the spectrum.
I suggest you get it tuned to make it run right. That will help it sell alot better.

Describe the "tuning issue" and I will tell you what the car will sell for. I know I no longer have it in my signature but I am still apart of Speed For Sale so I have sold a fair share of fds in my time(around 80). If the car simply just needs a tune then your price is more than fair if the title is clear and there are no other major issues. However, advertising is the key to selling anything.

At cold idle the car shuts idles realllly low and after warm it usually runs fine, but you can tell it needs a tune. A few times after warm the idle will dip really low... the car has a clean title and basically has everything under the engine brand new.

I say your price is spot on with the market right now, you just need to advertise the car correctly and it should sell. Silver/black fds are easy to sell, however, with the car being singled it takes it out of a lot of perspective buyer's price range.

Thanks, so you think 16k is a reasonable asking price?

As long as there are no real surprises with the car, the title is clear, paint is in pretty good shape, then yes, the price is spot on. If the car was tuned and put down good numbers I would even say the price is a tad low.
