Which one is longer??

The term long block and short block refer to what components make up an engine assembly. On a piston-engined car, a short block is usually just the block, crankshaft, pistons, rods, sometimes oil pump and miscellaneous components. A long block usually includes everything from a complete head assy to the oil-pan, including water pump but usually not manifolds. Rotary remans all come the same and fully assembled to just add throttle body, turbos if equipped, manifolds, etc. Gaskets will still be needed though. I can drum up what the Mazda reman includes and what to keep installed on the core if you really want details.
