The colder the better! More condensed air in the chamber allows for more fuel, thus, more power.

CAI takes in cooler air, and as we all know...cold air is more dense. the more dense the air is, the more oxygen it has in it. the more ozygen it has in it, the better it mixes with fuel and combusts, resulting in more power.
