whats the deal

i have a 94fd it runs great in till i put it in 1st or 2nd gear! What i mean is i push in on the clutch and hold it to the floor and shift into 1st and the car wants to idle down and die or almost die? It does the same thing in 2nd? But i dont let off the clutch and the wheels aren't moving, so i know the clutch is not catching. It only does this i 1st or 2nd no other gears, and when i have it in 1 or 2nd i cant rev the motor past 4 or 5,000 rpms?

You may have a bad shift position sensor on the tranny or a bad wiring connection.

^The 1-2 position switch is located at the right rear of the tranny near the odometer gear. See FSM page J-35

someone tried to tell me that it could be the clutch switch on the clutch pedal, i have the 1-2 switch, and the neutral switch, and the clutch switch, ive tested all of them even my extra swiches and i switched the 1-2 switch, the other switches tested good but i still have the same problem the switches i have are used. I have also did a jdm swap with the engine and tranny and ecu. everything has been swaped.

You may need to check the tranny wiring harness to see if there is any damage or separation of the wiring to the 1-2 position switch.
