Whats That Damn Buzzing

Every time I start the car the buzzing starts and doesnt stop untill the car is shut off. This is very annoying. I dont know what it is comming from or what started it. But I think it might be the coolant level buzzer because the stock coolant gauge was removed and replaced. How can I stop it?

Also I mounted the water temp sender in the coolant filler neck. What temps should I be seeing with it installed there? Anyone know a range? Like a normal cruising temp and then an emergency overheat point?

your coolant level buzer relay (the relay that mesures the amount of coolant) most likely went bad. it might be the oil presure i know it has i light but not 100% sure it has a buzzer
good luck, hope you find it

if your buzzer is not working properly, thats an easy fix but if you have low coolant and drive around like that, you could overheat your motor!

The coolant is full.

Is the buzzer connected to the sensor in the block right next to the oil pressure sensor?

the coolant level sensor is on the filler neck below the cap in front. do a forum search for how to test or just read the online FSM.

have you tested it?

No havent tested it yet.

If the stock gauge was removed would this cause buzzing?

Very likely it is a separate circuit. I'm not sure what got removed when you pulled the stock gauge.

Well can someone show me a pic of where the buzzer is so I can remove it.

I frequently check my coolant anyway so a buzzer is really not needed.

Thanks

You could try grounding the coolant level sensor, which would fool it to thinking the level was good. If its the control circuit, then I'm a bit stumped as to where that is.

I think the buzzer is the same one as used for the redline buzzer, so you may not want to remove it...
