I have a PFS and I love it sounds great and if I had some spare cash I would love to get an N1 dual for the track and if you want a stock look with a sporty tone get an RB they look really nice and have a real nice tone but that is all I can think of that I liked

I met a guy the other day with down pipe, mid pipe, and RB dual tip exhaust. It was a vary nice mellow tone. I really want to get one now. None of the bee swarm sounds. With the emissions removed the RB was maybe 2 - 3x as loud as stock. Very reasonable noise level. I never heard a PFS so I can't compare the 2.

I diid alot of research and asked alot of members for their input. I think the concensus for the street (if their was one) was the Racing Beat dual tip. I got one and I have been totally satisfied with the workmanship, packaging, tone, and performance. If you want a low resonant sinister burble without the volume of a rice rocket, this is the one for you. It also looks more like stock.

There are good ones for either look that you might like. They all flow very well, so really it just depends on the look and sound you are looking for....

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
just my opinion...
go for the Racing Beat Dual Tip, M2 Dual, or GReddy SP. all other exhaust systems make the FD sound horrible. that is including all the cannister exhaust systems made by Apex'i, HKS, and the GReddy PE. also, stay away from the PFS exhaust. it is one of the worst looking and sounding exhausts for the RX-7, IMO. too farty, and it just accentuates the rotary engine's natural back firing characteristics. all of these exhaust systems make the car sound like one long, wet fart. you know the sound of your fart when your on the can, and you have really really bad diarrhea? yes...thats how bad it is, IMO.
i have heard most of the exhaust systems available, and i can tell you that the the RB Dual, M2 Dual, and GReddy SP are the only exhaust systems that give the car a decent note. the only thing is that the GReddy SP comes with a HUGE tip, and you will become every ricers idol.

I have the Blitz nurspec exhaust, I like it a lot and for the price you cant beat it Sounds real nice. I dont know if your going to notice a whole lot of difference in performance from one exhaust to another.

I agree with you--I have the PFS exhaust and love the tone combined w/dp and high flow. Drove around with a guy in fort worth that had a custom center exit catback on his fd and he told me he loved my exhaust note like eight times. I think he's regretting his decision on catbacks. Also, a guy at work (older, non-car enthusiast) said my car was the meanest sounding thing he'd ever heard; he described it in first gear as a 'buzzsaw'

try a RX7 meet
that's the best way to decide, since there will be different ones allready installed and you can hear them.
There is wieght, looks and performance, oh and size:
Strait through is better than chamberd, unless you have a mid pipe on the street. A stock computer is designed for some back pressure and a RB or M2 can muffle the sound.
The Greddy PE's can is so huge, it will scrape on driveways and speed bumps. The Power extreme II is a much better choice. The RX7 store's version will same you some money.
I like the N1 duals, they sound quiet and throaty until WOT, but that is with a Cat'. Only drawback is they can melt the plastic since the two cans are so wide.
The Blitz is nice and just slightly more raspy on low and mids but a killer deal for the price (all stainless steel).
If you want a nice sound and different from the other cans, get 5-Zigen miracle fireball.
If you want more top end, Apexi GT (pipe goes from 3" to 3.75" at can) but it's louder.
the next step up is JIC Magic 1/2 Titanium & 1/2 stainless steel (excellent street/race comprimise).
The next step adds titanium piping, JIC, Kakimoto and rotory extreme.
The race only setup would add a titanium mid pipe by rotary extreme or HKS. Rotary Extreme will be adding a baffle to the mid pipe.
Different Intakes can change the sound as well.

Guys I have the RB chrome dual with a DP and MP. It's very mellow but when you crack down on it you know it's there. Overall I love it. Not obnoxious as some of the others can be. When I ditched my cat if helped the power and got just a tad louder but not that much. Hope it helps.

but on another note PFS catback and DP/mp combo are great and made of quality materials and fits like a champ and I am very please with all 3 exhaust parts
as for the sound being NON-SEQ makes it real throaty and mean the way I like it and it does not drown like hondas or rikkis exhaust sytems you normally here. It has *****.
