What would you do
iv been having problems with my odometer, it keeps turning off on me and not recoring any miles i do. so i know about resodering everything may fix it but i wouldnt be able to do that without breaking something and having to get a new one... How much would it be to get a new 93 cluster and can i have like mazda add the miles to the new one??
I had the same problem but for some reason after i upgraded to the 99 harness, the problem never came back.
If you replace the cluster I wouldnt worry about the mileage, just have it documented when u make the swap.
These cars are known for their finky odometer, chances are you will never trade it in at a dealership when you can get more for it at a private sell. A buyer will probably research this problem and come to expect it when buying this car.
I believe in Florida it is not illegal to tamper with an Odometer if the car is over 10 years old and you fully disclose it when selling. I had this situation happen to my neighbour when he purchased a 88 VW Vanagon with only 42,000 miles. The car had a lot of problems and turned out to be Canadian so it was in KM/H which meant it had about 20 K miles on it. I told him something is not right. Reviewing the paperwork the selller had declared he had changed the odometer. We researched it online and according to FDOT, a vehicle over ten years old can have it's odometer changed as long as it is documented. Needless to say my freind wound up taking a loss on the car.

You can get used clusters off the forum. I have a 93 and i dont have a problem. Maybe its not common?
But like others said, get a used one, hopefully with low mileage and log it.
