don't race, don't need to
Continually adding coolant EVERY time I ran it, wishing the coolant seals weren't bad, hoping they weren't bad, trying to fix other things that might be it because I really was hoping they weren't bad.
They were bad.
They were bad.

100mph into a telephone pole!! Thank God I walked away with nothing more than a slight concussion. But the 7 is dead and now being parted out. Check with BanzaiToyota if you want any of the parts off of it. Laterz.

It caught fire at a gas station while on my way to an afternoon of roadracing.
Luckily I had an extinguisher and the damage was minimal (but not cheap!). I still had to spend the day with everyone else having fun and my car charred

For me, it would prolly be when a shitbox 18 wheeler ran me off the highway outside of Dallas and bent TWO of my rims. I was stuck in the ghetto, and you don't want to know how much the flatbed bill was......

My last trip to the strip I damn near folded my hood. After every run, I don't just let the car sit an idle to cool off. I always pop the hood and go driving at light throttle to quickly cool the engine bay(really works well for non vented hoods). The last time I did it, The hood wasn't completely latched on the saftey hook. 15mph later up it came and slammed up against my wind sheild. This really pissed me off because my car didn't have a scratch on it. Oh well now its time for a real vented hood.

When my turbos gave up (for the third time) and completely de-mosquito'ed the entire auto-x course ..... I was the first car out. After two rebuilt sets, I gave up on any possibility of a third and bought brand spankin' new RS/RZ turbos. I don't even want to calculate the total cost from all 6 of those little buggers.

Actually Damon, if I recall correctly that was a shitty day for myself as well. I rearended Man at like 5 mph and cut a hole in my front bumper from his center exhaust, then the wind blew up my hood inbetween sessions, causing damage to the hood . I didn't know Eric at the time, but I distinctly remember wanting to strangle him after he said "Well, looks like it's time for a Carbon Fiber hood" 2 seconds after it happened . At least the R1 was running like stink around the track.....memories, indeed .

This happened a few weeks ago:
It was 12 or 1 am; dark as hell outside with very little moonlight. I'm @ Mild7's place trying to tighten a hoseclamp with a slotted screwdriver. My hands are greasy/oily from working on the car (don't remember what exactly). Thbe screwdriver keeps slipping off the clamp's head, so I press down harder while I'm trying to keep the clamp from rotating with the laft hand. The screwdriver slips again, and I cut a HUGE gash on my inner left middle finger right @ the first joint. I proceed to scream like a little girl. I'm bleeding all over the bumper & the ground, but I continue tightening it with one hand and get it done.
I'm slowly starting to get feeling back in my fingertip....
Hopefully the locals will stop ribbing me about it cuz that shiet ain't funny!

I remember a few year ago when was getting on the freeway around one of those stupid clover-leaf thingies and right as I was coming to the end of the turn I juiced it. Well it was pouring *** rain out and my rear end came out around the drivers side. I waved at the traffic that was behind me and then jumped the curb going backwards. the shity part was that I had just passed all those cars, then they passed me while I was on the side of the road.
