Hmmm. First make sure your car is in perfect working order. If it is, get a downpipe and an aftermarket radiator. These reliability mods are key to the longevity of your engine and turbos.

Here's my list in order of priority:

*normal maintenance items
*downpipe
*aluminum AST
*boost and water temp gauges

If you have any money left (doubtful), save it for a rainy day.

I forgot about the AST. That is a must because the stock one tends to burst.

There are many others but I have had good experiences with Rx7store.net. I have ordered lots of things from them and they have provided excelent service. Jason runs a good business.

Yeah I have to Agree with the AST, radiator and down pipe. Also check out your belts and upper and lower radiator hoses. Pinapple has the hose the cheapest about $8 less each than anywhere else I have found.

With $900 I would do the following:

Stainless Steel Downpipe - $250
M2 AST Bypass - $59
Koyo Radiator - $369
Apexi Intake - $225

Total - $903 (plus tax + shipping)
Those prices are from the RX7 Store.

Stock radiator does an ok job for a stock car, but it's not nearly as good or effective as the Fluidyne/Koyos. I don't think many people will argue with that...

I have a friend who had an end tank crack and dumped his coolant, but fortunately he was just pulling into his apartment. But I have read quite a few others who had similar problems. Fortunately I have never had coolant issues.

Like Matty, I see no need to upgrade the stock radiator right away, unless the end tanks are looking bad. There are more important things in a $900 list.

Get the downpipe. It gets heat out of the engine bay so effortlessly.
