what type of cores do aftermarket stock mount ICs use?

what type of cores do aftermarket stock mount ICs use?

they usually use bar and plate cores from spearco or similar. I've heard recently that tub and fin are even better for SMIC -- which the rule I always had heard was tub & fin for FMIC and bar & blate for SMIC. I haven't had the time to investigate on the net, but I'm sure if you went looking you could find some real research from some hard core tech guys.
